We Are Many
September 21st/22nd
THE EVENT
The night will feature the screening of We Are Many; exclusive music performances; and a Q&A panel discussion with director Amir Amirani (who is also co-producer of recently acclaimed Coup 53 ). Amir will be joined by some of the film’s cast members and leaders from key activist organizations.
We Are Many tells the story behind the 2003 anti-Iraq War protests – the largest demonstration in history – and how, despite not stopping the invasion, it did go on to inspire a new generation of activists. With interviews from a stellar cast including Noam Chomsky, Colleen Kelly, Danny Glover, Medea Benjamin, Hans Blix, Brian Eno, Mark Rylance and many others, the film is both fascinating in its analysis of the event as well as being a tribute to movement building.
You can watch the trailer here.
As protests continue to erupt across the world, the film’s message resonates as much now as ever.
