Project Partners:
The co-operative has funded the development of The Power of Us, a cinema documentary about the power and possibility of co-operation.
Trust Greenbelt is the gift of the Greenbelt community to global and UK initiatives that find ways of combining faith, justice and the arts – in their broadest sense. Festival goers give tens of thousands of pounds to Trust Greenbelt each year which is then distributed in small and medium size grants. Trust Greenbelt has contributed to the development funding of TPFF website and in 2016, a grant towards our Make Apartheid History project.
Christian Aid is the official development agency of the churches in Britain and Ireland. They are mandated to work on relief, development and advocacy for poverty eradication. Christian Aid’s essential purpose is to expose the scandal of poverty, to help in practical ways to root it out from the world and to challenge and change structures and systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised. Christian Aid was an early development funder of Cashback (working title) and commissioned TPNS to make a short film on the campaign history of the organisation.
Trócaire is the official overseas development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland. It was set up by the Irish Catholic Bishops in 1973 to express the concern of the Irish Church for the suffering of the world’s poorest and most oppressed people. Trócaire work through global Catholic networks and with local partners on the ground. When they help people, they work with them, so that they drive the entire process themselves. Trócaire has made a grant of 7,500 EURO towards the finishing fund for Open Bethlehem.
Development and Peace is the official international development organisation of the Catholic Church in Canada and the Canadian member of Caritas Internationalis. Development and Peace are support initiatives by people in the Global South to take control of their lives and they educate Canadians about North-South issues. Development and Peace has shown it’s support with a grant of $20,000 Canadian towards the finishing fund for Open Bethlehem.
McCabe Educational Trust. We are delighted to have secured the grant support of the charitable arm of McCabe Travel – a company specialising in pilgrimages to the Holy Land. McCabe’s support will enable the post-production costs of Open Bethlehem to be met.
In-kind Partners:
Dogwoof is the leading UK film distributor specialising in social issue films – documentaries, independent films and world cinema. Dogwoof believes that a good film can make a big difference in how people see the world and social issues. Their main focus is on ethical documentaries, such as The Age of Stupid, Black Gold, Burma VJ, and The End of the Line. They release their films nationwide, in over 80 cinemas, backing the releases with major campaigns. Dogwoof is an inkind partner with Tipping Point Film Fund allowing access to certain films they have on their slate to screen to 360° supporters and at film evenings.

The Groovy Movie Picture House is a unique and versatile multi-media venue for outdoor events, designed to provide the ideal home for film screenings, performances and presentations. The Groovy Movie Picture House generates its electricity, on location, using an array of solar panels. It produces clean, green and silent energy – demonstrating green technology in action. Groovy Movie worked with Tipping Point Film Fund and Dogwoof to bring films-for-change to British festivals.
